Connecting Your Classroom for Global Learning!

Course Description:

How can we extend student learning to include global perspectives?

What can our students teach us and each other about the world around them?

In this academy, we will practice strategies to grow your network and connect students beyond the four walls of your classroom. Using interactive websites and tools, you will experience the magic of collaborating online and offer your students opportunities to do the same.

After reviewing web-based tools that provide access to global resources, design and teach a lesson using one.

Course Logistics:

Course Runs: June 15, 2024 to November 30, 2024

Anticipated Time Commitment: 8-10 hours

Audience: TK-12 Educators, TOSAs, Instructional Coaches, and Site/District Administrators

Due Dates: All assignments are set with a calendar due date of November 30, 2024. Participants are welcome to work at a pace that suits their learning needs.

Graduate Units: This course qualifies for up to one (1) graduate-level semester unit. Units are offered through University of the Pacific at a cost set by UoP ($50/unit).
